In the fashion world, collections flow and evolve as the seasons change, alternating shapes, colors and materials. This is also true for Nicki Colombo, but we have been thinking for a long time about how to create another space, parallel to these collections, to offer a greater choice of accessories. This is how our Capsule section was born, where we’re going to propose new creative and trendy projects.
A space that will also be a journey into the world of accessories and into the Made in Italy tradition, starting from the collaboration with the silk district in Como. For over 40 years the Colombo family has been collaborating with Como’s excellences: first to weave the yarn of our silk mill, then to create printed fabrics, studying together designs and colours. It is estimated that 80% of European silk is produced in Como, a figure that makes it clear the importance of the district. It was therefore natural to turn to these top companies to create our first Capsule: a special collection of pure silk foulard.
The silk foulard is a versatile and elegant accessory, that has always been present in Nicki Colombo’s spring and autumn collections. For this Capsule we wanted to propose graphics, designs and geometries, able to combine the tradition of silk, a symbol of luxury and sophistication, to a contemporary and modern design. You can wear it as you like: at the neck but also in your hair, tied to your bag or pants, for a touch of color and timeless elegance.
